About
Welcome to 35 Yards Out, a World of Warcraft blog of Marksmanship hunters and related topics.
My adventures began in August 2007 with several friends from college, all of whom have since moved on from the game. Since starting, I have only known one family on the Eredar server: The Hand of Fate.
Though I began late in the Burning Crusade period, I was still able to experience much of the content in Outland. After reaching level 70 five months later, I began raiding and have experience in every instance with the exception of Sunwell Plateau. I have also taken part in guild-first kills in Serpentshrine Cavern (with another guild) and in Black Temple (with my guild).
I plan to continue using the Marksmanship talent tree in Wrath of the Lich King as I have in the previous expansion. I will also continue raiding as my schedule and my guild allow. Although I have no specific raiding goals, I do intend on seeing as much content as possible.
THE BLOG
35 Yards Out began in March 2008 as an incarnation of my first blog, Ranger’s Bow. This blog is part of a community network of World of Warcraft bloggers called Blog Azeroth. As part of this community, I took part in the development of the Twisted Nether Blogcast, a podcast for bloggers, and the Twisted Nether Wiki.
The purpose of this blog is to interact with the World of Warcraft hunter community and to provide opinion pieces and articles about the hunter class. I also publish my own research on specific mechanics of the class. Content from this site have been featured on high-traffic sites such as WoW Insider and Mania’s Arcania.
